A neodymium magnet (also known as NdFeB, NIB or Neo magnet), the most commonly used type of rare earth magnets, is a permanent magnet, which is made from an alloy of neodymium, iron and boron to produce tetragonal crystalline structure of Nd2Fe14B.
Neodymium magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnets available on the market. Due to different production processes, they are also divided into two subcategories subdivided:
namely sintered NdFeB magnets and bonded NdFeB magnets.
They have many other types replaced by magnets in many applications, the strong permanent magnets such as motors in cordless tools, hard disk drives, magnetic fastening elements and many more.
Sintered neodymium magnets (NdFeB) are with 52 MGOe the highest maxima energy product. Their high performance offers opportunities for high efficiency and energy for engines and high-end consumer electronics. These magnets are extremely powerful, but also to be treated with caution!
Bonded Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets can be produced in complex & miniature shapes with high precision and different magnetization patterns. Bonded neodymium magnets are applied to various products of micro motors, precision motors, sensors and more.
